I'm sure you've seen the fuss all over your Facebook, and here's yet another post about the Cinderella Latte from Starbucks. The Cinderella Latte is all but actually new. The person who "invented" this sweet drink was a Starbucks Barista that came up with it last year. However, with it being pumpkin spice season the drink has since reappeared and become a viral sensation.
What inspired the drink combination? The creator claims that the white mocha being added reminded her of the white pumpkin carriage that Cinderella rode in. Once she combined the two that was all she wrote and the Cinderella Latte received it's name. So how do you order a Cinderella Latte? You can't just go to Starbucks and ask for the drink, chances are the barista will look at you very confused if you did. Instead, you ask for a pumpkin spice latte and ask for half the pumps to be pumpkin sauce and half the pumps to be white mocha. Example: The Grande comes with 4 pumps of the pumpkin sauce. So instead you ask for 2 pumps of pumpkin sauce and 2 pumps of white mocha.
Something important to remember, lattes are hot beverages. If you want it to be cold, make sure to ask for an iced latte. You can even get this beverage as a Frappuccino.
Now my thoughts on the drink? I didn't think the drink was anything special, it actually didn't taste like pumpkin at all. I have decided that I am going to try the drink again and leave the 4 pumps of pumpkin and just add the pumps of white mocha. I absolutely love pumpkin spice, so for a beverage to include it and not be able to taste it was rather disappointing to me. It's an okay drink, but nothing to run out of your way for. (Just my opinion)
